Thom Niessink is a Dutch graphic designer focused on lettering, typedesign and illustration. After graduating from Mediacollege Amsterdam in 2013 he worked as a graphic designer at various companies and agencies. Throughout his career he developed a true passion for typography and custom lettering. Influenced by other typedesigners and lettering artists he sharpened his skills and found his own style.

He is inspired by vintage magazines, signs and postcards from the 50’s and 60’s. Despite the vintage inspiration, his way of working is almost completely digital, using the iPad as a digital sketchbook. Combining retro and contemporary letterforms with subtle paper textures and color pallets he creates an appealing composition with a consistent typographic rhythm.
